Wow! I can’t believe it is already the end of October–can you?! Are you ready for Halloween?! October seemed to be the month that never ended so it has taken me a little bit to get into the spirit of things, and to help with that, today I am excited to share some fun Etsy finds with you! I absolutely love and admire the spirited and bright art and imagery surrounding the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos. Painted faces, embellished headpieces and vibrant dresses are pretty irresistible in and of themselves, but it is also so cool to think about this Mexican holiday and how they honor their deceased ancestors from October 31st through November 2nd with prayer and celebration.
Etsy makers definitely draw inspiration from the Día de los Muertos aesthetic–and here are some of my favorite finds that can really be enjoyed year-round!
1. How awesome is this sugar skull corset?! 2. This beautiful block print would be excellent decoration! 3. I would wear this Day of the Dead t-shirt weekly. 4. & 6. Quirky little skull and cat sculptures for your mantle or desk. 5. This ring is just too good. 7. A simple sugar skull necklace is actually made out of metal clay, neat! 8. This felt brooch is so intricate and awesome!
