Patterns Trending in Fashion

I just love it when a fashion trend comes along that I’m 100% on board with and love! Bright and beautiful patterns are popping up everywhere in fashion this year and I. AM. EXCITED! I’m going to share some of my favorite Etsy fashion artists with you and some of the new Zenned Out patterned jewelry pieces, as well as some tips for rocking all of these patterns.

A few of my favorite Etsy clothing designers that beautifully rock their patterns are Simka Sol, Thief and Bandit, and I Heart Fink. All these designers play with fun patterns in their pieces in such unique ways. Personally, I am seriously obsessed with Kristen’s designs at I Heart Fink. She hand prints her fabrics with bold and bright patterns, then creates original and unique pieces from them. (If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen a couple of my favorite Fink pieces.)

I’m so happy that here at Zenned Out, we work in a medium that allows us to play with this fashion trend. We’ve acquired several new stamps that are great for pattern making on our bracelets, earrings and rings. As an artist with a background in painting and drawing, I’m having a blast implementing these new designs and incorporating these elements with the inspirational quotes.

I know rocking all these patterns can seem a bit much and overwhelming. Here are a few quick tips for starting out!

  • Black and white patterns are always going to be the easiest to mix and match
  • If you’re going to wear two different patterns together, make sure they have at least one color in common or that they’re both monochromatic (all shades of the same color)
  • Mixing patterns is also easier when one pattern is smaller, while the other bolder and larger
  • Start by accessorizing with different patterns to get your feet wet!
